Creativity in Context: The Roman Way
"Blue Sky" dreaming is wonderful, but most of us are trying to be creative within the limits of our reality. This workshop is intended to discuss being creative with the resources we have at our disposal. Greek culture was known for creating from scratch. The Romans, however, chose to borrow first and then be creative, building on what the Greeks had already accomplished. Most congregations, especially smaller ones, cannot afford to reinvent the wheel at every turn. So, taking a tip from Roman ingenuity we will discuss how to build creatively with what we already have at our disposal. After all, if Jesus could use his rag-tag disciples to seed the church, imagine what we can do with what God has given us today!
